Writing: Writer’s Workshop: Rainforest poems, stories and related writings Using what we learn from our reading to write stories, poems, plays or songs. Spelling: Spelling Lists # Plurals, endings ed & ing, Long and Short vowel review Social Studies: Locating the 7 continents and People of the rainforests I hope your child has been telling you all the exciting things we are learning about the Rainforest. We are working in groups to become experts in a layer of the rainforest. We are also finding animals of the rainforest from A-Z and discovering where we would find them in the Rainforest layers. During our last week of class for the school year, we will be inviting our parents to come see all the wonderful things we have learned about the rainforest. We would like to take you on an imaginary flight to the Amazon forest while we sing and entertain you. An invitation will be sent home for this exciting event. We had a pizza lunch celebration on May 2 nd. Our class collected the most raffle tickets for the PTA fundraiser//Spring Fair. We collected over 12,000nt. Thank you to all the families that helped support our fundraiser. Thank you to all the moms that joined us for our Zoo trip. The weather could not have been better and the weather was perfect. The children visited the rainforest area and learned more interesting facts while seeing some of the animals and plants. Have a great month.
