Experiment 2 - overview

Experiment 2 part 1 - Summary – Raise hypothesis: What factors determine how high a ball bounces? (color, # of bounces, height, etc) Design an experiment to test your hypothesis – Make sure it gives you reliable results! – Collect data – Table discussion: Which factors matter AND HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? How did you make sure your findings are reliable? How could you improve your experiment? – Revision and summary

Emphases Raise concrete hypotheses Make sure your conclusions are reliable Evaluation: make sure you understand why your predictions were right or wrong – Beware of confirmation bias!
