Capital Punishment An American Institution????

Stoning As we have made progress in how punishment for capital crimes are carried out, the oldest method of its administration still exists in some parts of the world.

The Romans thought this was an effective policy! Did it stop the spread of Christianity ?

The French thought this was an effective means. Why was it believed to be less cruel and more efficient?

The military tried this as a policy for a variety of offenses. How effective was it during WWI as a means of stopping desertions?
