IACC-ITS.PPT June 1, 2001 Benefits Derived in FY 00/01 Class Aliases provided improved method for faculty to communicate with their students Initial Portal development will lay the groundwork for a “full fledged” university portal supporting all constituents and providing integration of campus applications and other Web resources The campus-wide directory has great potential to not only support single-sign on but to support better integration of applications, improve data consistency by providing a single source for “person” data, and in general support a wide range of campus applications Rehosting the data warehouse and linking it to the new PeopleSoft system will provide broader and easier access to HR and Finance data (initially) for individuals across campus New Advancement system and Centennial Campaign Web site improved central Advancement’s as well as individual college’s ability to remain in contact with and track their alumni
