Page 19 of 28 Functioning of the retractable, monopolar HF-electrodes  The electrode tip can be completely retracted into the suction- /irrigation tube.  The toothed ring must be pushed forwards to do this - the outer tube is extended over the electrode.  The toothed ring is also used to rotate the electrode in all directions.  Rotation, as well as retraction and extension of the HF-electrode is carried out by means of single-handed manipulation.
