Progress  Pulse-width modulation PWM issues: Able to control PWM without GUI, but it didn’t work later Looking at time lag between ASCII file input and DAC output ○ Appears to be a limiting threshold for updating information (~12 ms) ○ Reduced to 4 ms when print statements were removed  Connecting PWM and DAC output Thinking of using a relay to switch between two voltages on a DAC, triggered by the PWM output from the PIC

Questions to ask Keith  What is the frequency range you would be looking to drive PWM signals with?  How quickly do you want the ASCII file to be able to control voltages? (Right now, we are limited to a response rate of 3 ms, but we are looking into ways of improving it)  Regarding HK: Do you want to know the current and voltage going into the DC- DC converters, or just current?

Next steps  Today/weekend Continue to debug GUI/PIC connection Make circuit to connect PWM and DAC output Continuously updating GUI  Next week Anything of the above that isn’t finished Testing with MXS (“should be in the mail [yesterday]”) Once we solidify the system we want: PCB layout, components box design
