Three L’s of Real-Estate: Location, Location, Location Three Scenarios –Dorms –Apartments Cost Area and Other Amenities

West Covina Apartments Rent –$675 (average) for a single –$1200 (average) for a double Distance from CPP = about 15 miles Utilities included Other Amenities –On site laundry, pets allowed, pool, furnished or unfurnished depending on price

Cal Poly Pomona Dorms Cost : $6,800 a year Distance from campus = 0 miles Utilities included but minimal availability Food included : 10 meals a week plus $100 for food monthly Other Amenities –Large parking lot, laundry mat

Analysis Rent –Apartments : $6800 (single), $6000 (double) –Dorms : $6800 (double) Food –Apartments : Not included –Dorms: Provided Distance –Apartments : 30 miles round trip daily (extra $300-$400) a month
