General Circuits  Task #1: Laptops in pairs  Site:  cs/child/main.html  Make “Observations/Notes” in your notebooks

Electrical Circuits Activity  Intro – What makes circuits work?  Components – Draw and label the symbols  Changing circuits – what happens when you add more energy? More bulbs?  Draw the first circuit diagram and label it as a “series” circuit  Don’t worry about the wire experiment  Try some of the activity questions

Comic Circuits: Activity #2  LISTEN CAREFULLY!  Draw a picture explaining the notes I give – ONLY use pictures! NO WORDS!  Explain your pictures to your neighbor  Write notes based on what you’ve drawn – TRY to make them the SAME as the ones you heard!

 A battery is connected to 2 light bulbs by wires in a loop  A series circuit has one path for charged particles  If one bulb blows the circuit won’t work  A parallel circuit has two paths for charged particles  The battery is attached to one bulb in one loop and the 2nd bulb is in a loop attached to the other loop  If one bulb blows the charged particles go through the other loop
