2 Purpose of the Rule Allows submission of an abbreviated application for eligible repeat specific exemption requests Established Tiered Data Standards for Showing “Significant Economic Loss”

3 Eligibility for Re-certification Application The emergency situation can reasonably be expected to continue for longer than one year, e.g. Loss of a previously relied-upon pesticide Expansion of pest’s range Documented pest resistance development. Examples of emergency situations not expected to continue are: Temporary supply problem of a registered product Isolated weather event, or Sporadic pest outbreak.
