Team Name Critical Design Review Team Members Date Fall 2011 Rev A

User notes –You may reformat to fit your design but make sure you cover the following points –You may want to finalize your Design Document since it will help form your presentation. –This template is the barebones of what is needed. –Each team will have 9 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions –Focus on your experiment and associated engineering

Mission Overview –What is your objective –What do you expect to prove and/or discover –What is your hypothesis –Why are you doing this mission –Clearly answer the question, WHY are you doing this mission?

Requirements Flow Down –Walk class through your Level 0 and Level 1 requirements and how they flow down from the Mission Statement –Refer to the class slides from the RFP lecture –You may be asked to stop and move on at anytime by Chris

Design –HOW YOU ARE DOING YOUR MISSION –Parts What has been ordered and what has not How long will it take to get parts. –Drawings –Functional Block Diagram –Mass and Money Budgets (have but don’t discuss unless asked) –Schedule (have but don’t discuss unless asked) –Recommend you discuss proposal requirements and how you plan to meet them. –The question of “How you are going to complete your mission?” should be answered

Test Plan –How do you plan to test your payload? –How have you tested your payload? –What tests will you perform? –You will need more than answers to these questions. –Include schedule for these tests

First Draft of Expected Results

Team Org Chart… – Show how you have more than one person working on each task

Biggest Worries… –Describe your team’s biggest worries with your mission, design, etc.
