Cal UPHC Public Health Fair Planning Meeting October 23, 2008

Mission/Purpose To allow professional and student organizations to convene in a single venue and raise awareness of their respective causes. Students can learn about different opportunities in different organizations that might not normally be as well-known.

Goals Connect students with different organizations and for professional organizations to connect with other organizations -Volunteer and Internship Opportunities Estimated Turnout: 100 students

Logistics: Venue Location: Pauley Ballroom Date: December 7 th, 2008 Time: 10-2 PM

Logistics Paperwork/Handouts: What Handouts should be available? Food: Catered or nonperishables? Permits: Fire, Insurance, Food, etc. A/V Equipment: Projector, other equipment?

Publicity Previous Mechanisms of Advertisement: Daily Cal Banner Listserves Chalking Residential Halls Flyers (if needed) Physical Display in Building, such as Dwinelle OTHER SUGGESTIONS?

Budget CalUPHC Allocation: $100 WE NEED OTHER SOURCES OF FUNDING! ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Steps for next 44 days… Step 1: Contacting (most crucial!!!!) Step 2: Sign up for different coordination committees to help plan Step 3: Find sponsors who would like to contribute to event Step 4: Publicize! Publicize! Publicize! Step 5: Apply for appropriate permits, insurance, etc. Step 6: Prepare necessary documents! Step 7: EVENT DAY!!!!!!!
