IRRIS – DOD Surface Transportation and Weather 3rd National Surface Transportation Weather Symposium Jonathan Pollack GeoDecisions

Real Time Weather IRRIS displays real-time GIS weather information such as radar, storm corridors, weather watches, warnings and advisories, etc.

IRRIS has over 450 infrastructure data layers that are spatially accurate and can be used to create very detailed and data rich GIS maps throughout the world. IRRIS’ GIS data layers include: 1. Transportation networks (road, rail & bridges) 2. Tracking data 3. Deployment infrastructure 4. Imagery & topographic layers 5. Real-time data (cameras, weather & traffic) 6. Critical energy nodes 7. Emergency response 8. Law enforcement 9. Military installations 10. Government agencies Infrastructure Data

Seaport Infrastructure IRRIS also provides access to seaport infrastructure such as berthing facilities, staging areas, rail yards, gates, container cranes, RF tag interrogator locations, etc.

Route Adherence & Geofencing IRRIS’ Geo-Fencing feature provides the ability to virtually cordon off any geographic area and set up notifications for breached areas.

Creating Charts & Graphs IRRIS can generate charts and graphs from any data table generated within IRRIS.

Plume Modeling DTRA’s Plume Model allows users to simulate the release of a chemical, biological or radiological agent into the atmosphere and to see the resultant plume on a GIS map.
