Wireless Networks Lab – A Simple Tree Network 2007/11/14 Chia-Hung Tsai

yctseng: 2 Lab5 Build a simple networks  One node is coordinator that has a node id 0  Other nodes also have their own node ids  Ex 1, 2, 3, …  Each node will regularly report their parent and id to the coordinator  Coordinator will show the receiving packets on the HyperTerminal  Each node will use LED to present its parent id

yctseng: 3 Building a network Each node will regularly broadcast its node id  Broadcasting address is 0xffff The nodes will choose one of its neighbors to a parent  The parent will have the biggest id between its neighbors  Using LED to display the parent id

yctseng: 4 Pakcet forwarding When each node connects to this simple network  It will regularly send a packet to the coordinator relayed by its parent  3 -> 2 ->1 -> 0  This packet will contain the node id and its parent id When each node receives a packet  If it is not the network coordinator, simply forward this packet to its parent  Else, display this packet information on the UART

yctseng: 5 Lab report Each Team must hand over a simply report about this lab  Due day is 11/21, next Wed.
