 You have a problem. The grammar police (GP) removed your chair because you still haven’t answered the questions from your last grammar quiz. You need to complete the following task to be issued your chair:  Write a sentence using the word chair as a subject, object of the preposition, or direct object. Label the sentence part you used.

 You and your partner have been assigned two grammar concepts based on the questions you wrote on your last quiz. Write a question about each of your assigned grammar concepts. Explain why knowing the answer to your question is important to your writing.

 Use your DGP booklet, language book, and at least one online resource to help you define your assigned concepts.  Write another question you have about your assigned concepts that you still do not understand or need to answer to gain a deeper understanding. (You will have one question for each concept.) ▪ (Ex. What is the difference between objective pronouns and nominative pronouns?)

 Find an example of your concepts in a book. Record and label the sentences. Include the title of the book and page number.  Write and label a sentence using each concept.  Write three rules a writer should follow for each grammar concept. ▪ Ex. 1. Most pronouns are treated as common nouns (do not capitalize unless at the beginning of a sentence). The exception to this rule is the first person pronoun “I”.

 Design a teaching tool that will help others understand your assigned grammar topics. Utilize definitions and examples. Include instructions for how to play your game that incorporate the initial tasks for this project (questions, definitions, and examples).  Board game  Card game  Interactive picture book  Game show

 Describe how your game/book will help your peers understand the concepts you were assigned.  How will knowledge of the assigned topics help you when writing?
