Philippe Grenier MDI Meeting – 16 June 2006 Philippe Grenier LER Belows and cooling water temperature measurements during the long LER coastdown (may 28-29) 1

Philippe Grenier MDI Meeting – 16 June 2006 PR06 Region: PR08 Region: Last week: Belows Temperatures along the LER  Temp increase on the 29 th around 06:30 May 29 th 06:30 2

Philippe Grenier MDI Meeting – 16 June 2006 …looked at the belows cooling temperature (contacted Jim Turner) May 29 th 06:30 3 Individual belows water cooling not available…belows in series with other vaccum chambers…: VAXCTEMP However, rise in belows correlated with rise cooling temp. Day/night behavior probably due to reference thermocouple (Jim still investigating)  Not very conclusive…!

Philippe Grenier MDI Meeting – 16 June Hundreds (or thousands) of thermocouples in the beam lines… Looked at 8 thermocouples/region: - 2 incoming arc (first/last) - 2 incoming straight () - 2 outgoing straight () - 2 outgoing arc () o o o o o o o o
