University of Colima University of Colima Faculty of Literature and Communication EAPE Spanish for Academic Purposes

An Introduction… … ACADEMIC SPANISH PROGRAM FOR FOREIGNERS (EAPE) The University’s Faculty of Literature and Communication offers the program (EAPE), which enables the students to enroll in three different proficiency levels in the order to learn Spanish: 1. Spanish for the beginners 2. Intermediate students 3. Advanced students

The EAPE program has been specially designed for student who need to learn or improve their knowledge of Spanish. This could be form academic or personal reasons. We encourage those that have and interest and desire to take these classes. They will be very beneficial regardless of your reasons for taking the courses. PURPOSE OF COURSE

Course Content All three levels, beginners, intermediate and advanced courses, will include a study of conversational Spanish grammar, writing and culture. The intermediate and advanced course will also include the study of literature.

The three (3) courses will be given three (3) times during a year. Each course is 12 weeks long. The courses begin in: January May and September. Registration in any of the classes will include: An organized campus visit. Orientation and an introduction to the University of Colima Visits to different locations which are of a Historical, Cultural and Foreign visitor sites of interest. Schedule

Must be at least 18 years old A letter to the school explaining your reasons and desires for wanting to participate in the EAPE program A photo copy of your current passport A letter from the prospective students previous university ( if applicable) Take an evaluation exam Have an interview with the Academic Coordinator of EAPE Pay the applicable fees Requirements * Is important to send applications 2 months before the curse start.

CURRICULUM

TUITIONS FEEDS Each 12 week course$ 1, Includes: Registration Books Cultural Activities Room and meals* from $ 300 to $400

Housing The Secretariat of International Relations and Academic Cooperation will assist the students in locating and acquiring a room and meals. The help will be given according to the students needs and possibilities. * (cost and information will be provided by The Secretariat of International Relations and Academic Cooperation)
