THE PROJECT PRODUCE A BATTLE ROBOT TO COMPETE IN THE MAY 2002 BATTLEBOT EVENT.

THE DESIGN: OUR DESIGN WILL BE SOME WHAT SIMULAR TO THE BOT SHOWN HERE. WEDGE NOSE WITH A BOXED BODY DESIGN. A WEAPON ARM IS ALSO IN CONSIDERATION.

SPECIFICATIONS 24 VDC SYSTEM IFI ROBOTICS: PROCESSOR, SPEED CONTROLLERS, REMOTE CONTROL UNIT TETHERED AND REMOTE COMMUNICATION 24 OR 12 VDC MOTORS 2 OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE BATTERY POWERED PBASIC CODE METAL OR ALLOY CONSTRUCTION WEDGE DESIGN MIDDLEWEIGHT CLASS

ROBOT CONTROLLER

ACCOMPLISHMENTS ROMOTE CONTROL AND RECIEVER MICROPROCESSOR SPEED CONTROLLERS VARIOUS MOTORS COMPONENTS IN HAND:

ACCOMPLISHMENTS BILL: HAS LOCATED A SOURCE FOR MOTORS STEVE: WORKING SPONSERS & SOURCED SPEED CONTROLLERS MIKE: FAMILIAR WITH THE PBASIC CODE BRUCE: SOURCED THE OPERATOR INTERFACE TIM: SOURCED THE REMOTE CONTROLLER AND RECIEVER INDIVIDUAL:

RESEARCH - NON-STOP - THE WEB * HELP TO LOCATE ROBOT CONTROLLER * INFORMATION FOR THE BEGINNER * BUILDING TIPS - MOTORS HAVE BEEN AQUIRED * LACK SPECIFICATIONS * IDENTIFY THE MAKER.

RESEARCH ADDITIONAL ITEMS: 1. WEAPON ARM - SHOULD TIME AND WEIGHT ALLOW. ELECTRICAL LINEAR ACTURATOR TYPE 2. FIND SPONSERS 3. BATTLE TACTICS

DUTIES 1. MAKE A DECISION ON MOTORS. 2. PRODUCE BODY AND CHASSIS DRAWINGS. 3. ELECTRICAL SCHEMATICS 4. BUILD A PROTOTYPE WOOD CHASSIS AND BODY. 5. BUILD A STEEL PROTOTYPE (OPTION). 6. SOURCE ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS. 7. FAB LAB CLASSES. 8. SOURCE MATERIAL.

NAMES A TEAM NAME HAS YET TO BE DECIDED. A BOT NAME HAS NOT BEEN DECIDED UPON. ONE CONSIDERATION IS: A+
