POLISH CONFEDERATION OF PRIVATE EMPLOYERS LEWIATAN (PKPP LEWIATAN) Continuation of established between the two World Wars Central Association of Polish Industry, Mining, Commerce and Finance Lewiatan; Established in January 1999 as a nation-wide representation of employers to the state and trade unions; 3500 companies employing over workers; Member of BUSINESSEUROPE, permanent representative in Brussels; Major achievements: reduction of the personal and corporate income tax rates for businesses to 19 % in 2004,enactment of the Economic Freedom Act in 2004,revision of the Commercial Company Code in 2003,liberalization of the Labour Code in 2002.
