HTML TABLES Cyndi Hageman

Tables   Attributes Name or id – used to identify the table Border = set this to determine if there is a border and the size of the border. Cellpadding – this determines the amount of space between the edge of a cell and its contents.

Tables  Attributes Cellspacing – this determines the amount of space between adjacent cells Width and Height – determines the size of the table Class or Style – used to apply styles to the table

Table Tags

Table Row   Attribute Id – used to name a row align – aligns the content horizontally Valign – aligns the content vertically Bgcolor and background – allows you to set a background color or graphic for that row

Table Row Example ….

Table Headers   Bgcolor and background – sets the background and color for the header row  Width and height – sets the height and width of the table header cell  Rowspan or colspan – determines how many rows or columns the cell will extend to.

Advanced Table Tags  - defines a set of header rows. Must be located after the opening table tag.  - defines a footer for a table. Can only be defined once before the  - divides table into discreet sections  Example pg. 382
