Mission Overview: Baby SAT will test three main components using two smaller satellites -The two satellites will communicate over b to test the wireless communication system -A three-axis solid-state IMU will measure angular acceleration and velocity -Thermal sensors will be placed on components in one of the satellites to test their accuracy in a near vacuum environment

SHOT II / UN-4 Connection: -Our UN-4 satellite consists of two separate satellites that will communicate through the wireless communication system. The SHOT II Baby SATs will provide a platform to test this communication system. -The thermal sensors and IMU used on Baby SAT are the same models to be used for the UN-4 mission. SHOT II Design and Test Details: - Baby SAT is two satellites made of foam board and foam insulation. Each satellite contains a wireless communication unit, onboard computer, battery packs, and heater. One satellite contains the IMU, while the other contains the thermal sensors. -The onboard computer was tested with the wireless communication units, thermal sensors, and the IMU. -Baby SAT is within the mass requirement, weighing 1.5 kg total for both satellites.

Expected Results: -Once the flight is complete, the memory from each onboard computer will be analyzed. The gyro data is stored and also sent via wireless to the second satellite for storing. -A comparison of data will validate the wireless transmission. -The thermal sensors readings will also be stored and analyzed post flight.
