How to Read the Subject Results List

The subject heading list

is where your search term lands alphabetically in the list.

One specific result of your subject search.

The numbered list of results.

Check box to add to book cart.

The number of unique subject headings.

The year of item, if there is only one item for the subject.

The number of entries per subject.

Example: this subject heading has related subjects,

which may contain broader, narrower or synonym subject headings.

Example: this subject heading contains books about dogs in general.

Example: a subject heading with multiple items.

Example: a subject heading with only one item.

Example: Dogs in Religion Folk Lore Etc is the same as Dogs Folklore, so this entry points to the more common entry.
