I Introduction I Introduction There were two crooks planning to kidnap a child of Douglas King. But they made a big mistake of catching the wrong child. The child they caught was Jeff Reynolds whose father was a chauffeur working for King. After the crooks knew that they caught the wrong one. They still wanted King to pay the ransom $5000,000 or they would kill the boy.

II Summary II Summary Douglas King was a businessman of Granger Shoes. He broke off with his partners from a meeting. Actually King already planned to control Granger Shoes. But there was a problem when he was going to achieve. Some crooks planned to kidnap his child but they caught a wrong one. But his wife thought that they had the responsibility to save that child. Now King was facing an important decision. If he paid the ransom he could save the child but he would lose his job,cars,houses … every -thing he had.

IV Reflection I could understand King ’ s confuse. If he paid the ransom, he would out of the street. King had not relationship with Jeff. Finally he didn't gave the crooks the ransom but he helped to save Jeff. He tried his best. Anyway kidnapping is a bad example in the society. It will never stop. All we can do is to keep carefully.

It’s a happy ending. Although the Folsom didn't be caught, they never tried to hurt Jeff. After this chance Eddie might change his way of making money. Diane came back to King, which meant she still thought King was a good person to stay with. At the end King saved Jeff and also owned his business.
