Introduction – What is SEVIS? SEVIS is an electronic database that connects schools to the CIS, ICE, and CBP service centers, district offices, ports of entry and US Consular offices & Embassies via the internet. As of February 15, 2003 ALL schools in the United States MUST regularly send information through SEVIS about their international students using this database.
