Physician Assisted Suicide (PAS) Manoj Bhatia

Introduction by Example

Arguments in favor of PAS 1.Person should have right to choose their own death. 2.Suffering sometimes become unbearable. 3.Though society has strong interest in preserving life, that interest lessens when person is terminally ill and has strong desire to end life. 4.It should be legal under certain circumstances.

Arguments against PAS 1.Assisted suicide is morally wrong under any circumstances. 2.There is a difference between just "letting die" and actively "killing." 3.Certain groups of people, lacking access to care and support, may be pushed into assisted death.

Personal Opinion 1.One should have right to control their life. 2.It should be legal under certain conditions.
