The Sacre Coeur was built in the 19 th century

The Interior of the church contains one of the largest mosaics and it is full of mosaics. From the top of the Scare Coeur dome there is a panoramic veiw in all directions extending over 30 km.

Its famous white architecture dominates the city. The Roman’s called the Montmartre Mons mercuni.

* The Sacre Coeur sits on top of Montmarte Hill. Saint Denis was decapitated on Montmarte Hill around 250 AD. The nearby streets of Montmarte are full of artists and restaurants.
