Basic Overview

Input from microcontroller Output to SSR Thermocouple inputs AD595 amp This schematic was the basic one used for the LCD interface with the addition of the AD595 amplifier, two inputs and SSR connections. All power for the AD595 and the SSR is provided by the micro controller.

1.4”x2.5” board Micro Controller LCD interface and AD595 Thermocouple Amplifier Inputs for Thermocouple and Output for SSR (solid state relay) Potentiometer for LCD contrast +5V or -5V supply for LCD Approximately a gain of 250 for the amplifier

Pre-trimmed for Type J (AD594) or Type K (AD595) Thermocouples Voltage Output: 10 mV/°C Wide Power Supply Range: +5 V to ±15 V An overall gain of approximately 250 Expected output voltage range for application used, 0 to 4 volts Needs to have one input common to ground for reference The AD595 Thermocouple Amplifier

The C program  User can cycle through solder paste types  A start button starts a heating process  The microcontroller regulates the oven temperature with a while loop and if statements  As time passes new stages with unique temperatures are completed until boards are done.

The END This product allows the use of surface mount technology in simple electronics labs. Circuit boards can become smaller and more cost efficient.
