Group Discussions Break up into groups with no more than 5 people. Select a person as the secretary. Discuss the following topics for no more than 20 minutes –What do you think about Global Climate Change (GCC) ? –Is it an under-appreciated or an over-blown issue? –Why your position? Secretaries to summarize the views. After time is up, everyone EXCEPT the secretary moves into another group, and re-deliberate for another 20 minutes. Secretaries or a designated person to report comments

–What do you think about Global Climate Change (GCC) ? –Is it an under-appreciated or an over-blown issue? –Why your position? There are tons of sources out there; how do we know which ones are credible? Scientists?! They can’t even predict the weather, and they don’t have agreement amongst themselves, why should we trust them on Global Climate Change (GCC). How arrogant to think that we can change the globe. We're too small to have an effect. Remember Nuclear Winter? People are indulging in irresponsible scare mongering. There is little argument on the existence of global warming, but there's still a lot on its causes. There are at least 3 documentaries on YouTube disproving AGW (anthroprogenic global warming). One hundred years of data is not enough to know thousands of years of the past climate! GCC is just a MODEL prediction! We are too small. There is really not much we can do as individual to stop emission of greenhouse gases.

Assignment 1 Write an essay, in no more than 2 pages, on: What do YOU think about Global Climate Change? Is it true? Even if it is true, is it an under-appreciated or an over-blown issue? submit electronically to me, no later than 2nd March
