Double click on Make New Connection
Type NMSU-Net as the name for the computer you are dialing and select modem. Click on the Next button
Enter the area code and phone number and United States of America as Country code. Click Next
You have created a Dial-up Networking connection. Click Finished
Create a Short cut on your desktop by clicking on the NMSU- Net icon and drag it to the desktop.
Right click on NMSU-Net icon. Click on Network. Click on TCP-IP settings. Select specify name server address. Enter primary and secondary DNS as shown on screen. Click OK.
To connect double click short cut to NMSU-Net. Click on Dial Properties
If calling off campus and phone line has call waiting at the Dialing Properties dialog box. Click on check box to disable call waiting dial *70. Click OK
You have created a Dial-up to NMSU
