LC RDA: NASIG Module 43 Core elements to distinguish If elements are being recorded to distinguish one person, family, or corporate body from another person, family, or corporate body, RDA gives choices for recording the elements (RDA 0.6.4): –either as additions to the authorized access point representing the person, family, or corporate body -- most U.S. libraries –as separate elements only in authority records -- no –as both -- cataloger’s judgment or NACO policy even if not breaking conflict
