Accident: At anode:1300V, drift: at 1100V: Strange noise, power supplies tripped. -> Open chamber: 1 anode wire broken in the middle, little black craters in Radiator surface. Also noticed: anode wire looked like it was not covered with gold everywhere. Still unclear what happend, investigation is ongoing.

Independent of anode segment 1/3 of current is flowing to cathode, rest is missing ?!? Plan: test in Air, look for missing current

Manufacturer: wire OK (up to 12 kV) ->low current requirements very special?!? Plan: Buy new cable: 300 m from CERN stock OK to 6 kV. Distribute new cable to production sites

Proposal: Since wire thickness seems to vary (75-82um), put wire thickness for the roll numbers on the www (GSI?!?).
