Carbon Management Steering Board 7 th October 2011 Library Solar Window Film CARBON MANAGEMENT BOARD – October 2011

Initiative Following last April’s staff / student ‘stamp your feet’ survey, significant numbers of comments were received regarding the high internal temperatures Facilities Management had already installed ‘wind traps’ on the upper level, and adjusted plant & services to their limit. Further engineering solutions and external shading options have been refused planning permission. We have therefore introduced a high efficient window film to the east and south facades, to help reduce heat gain. CARBON MANAGEMENT BOARD – October 2011
