Professional Development: Components for Technology Integration  Vision  Planning  Technology Skills Training  Evaluation & Assessment

Start with a clear vision  Construct a community of learners with students, teachers & parents with students, teachers & parents

Plan curriculum goals for teachers & students  Principal as educational leader  Determine goals & outcomes with staff  Encourage staff to develop curriculum in teams

Determine what students must learn and then provide needed technology skills training  Practice: (1) acquire proper knowledge and skills, (2) understand how and when to use technology, (3) learn to apply technology to specific lessons, (4) present integrated lessons to others  Method: p/t technology instructors, volunteer parent technology trainers, use sub days for training, and be creative with incentives

Evaluate & assess student and teacher outcomes to show that technology improves student learning  Develop creative measures  Involve staff in creating measures  Use Open Houses to present integrated lessons integrated lessons
