Team 13: Cody Smoker Chris Rickerd Matthew Berryhill Galaxy Sleuth

Objective Create a multiplayer web based game Enable users to start playing as soon as possible Provide a user-friendly interface

Functionality Connect 3 to 6 people to a game server Allow each player a turn in sequence A player can choose to spin and make a move A player may make a guess during his/her turn while on a planet A final hypothesis can be made at any time during a players turn, if correct the player wins else the player is done. A player can choose to take a worm hole from one planet to another

Functionality Provide each player with a way to keep track of evidence Provide a GUI to display the game board Allow players to choose a color for their space ship Provide an interface for creating or joining a game A player who loses connection will be kicked out after a certain amount of time

Galaxy Sleuth Will Not... Require a login Provide a chat message system for players Allow players to join after the start of the game Store or save any data after the end of a game

Target Users Anyone with access to a computer willing to solve an intergalactic mystery Assumes internet connection and ability to run java

Architecture Implemented using Java The game will have to be hosted on a server Will consist of two GUI’s Create or join a game Game board  Player options  Evidence chart

Resources Proficient in java, some HTML Able to meet twice a week Access to eclipse and lab machines
