Student Understanding This painting will allow students to visualize the signing of the U.S. Constitution by our founding fathers. The painting will teach students which delegates were involved with the creation and signing of this important document. This painting may also begin a classroom discussion of the importance of George Washington and his role after the victory during the American Revolution. By viewing the painting, you can see certain delegates whispering in the background. You can discuss why this happened and its significance.
