A teacher is…. A cook. Despite your best efforts, it may blow up in your face. You can adjust the recipe to suite a variety of tastes. You must use the right ingredients, in the right ratios, and let heat for the right amount of time. Without love, it does not taste the same. There is always a way to make it better.

Cooking, Chemistry, Teaching They are all similar. Each takes a certain amount of skill and practice to be successful. There are new techniques and materials developed everyday. Each has a rich history of tradition and excellence. Sometimes it is better to just throw in the towel and try again tomorrow.

The difference between cooking and chemistry is that in chemistry you don’t lick the spoon.
