INTERNET ACCESS…ResNet ResNet - campus network in the Residence Halls Each residential room is equipped with a network jack that allows students to connect Student machines must be up-to-date to access ResNet Latest security updates Anti-virus software Cisco Clean Access product is used for this purpose McAfee Anti-Virus software is available to all students at no charge
I NTERNET A CCESS …W IRELESS Wireless network access is available in most academic and public gathering spaces Hot spots include: Penfield Library Campus Center The dining halls Wireless network access spaces are designated by the wireless logo
COMPUTER LABS Public computer labs are located in Penfield Library, Snygg, Mahar, and Campus Center Many departments have specialized labs Computer labs also located in certain residence halls – Hart, Oneida, and Scales
PRINTING Available in all of the computer labs Students are allocated a print quota of 500 pages per semester Additional printing can be purchased Color printing is available in specific labs Printing to the public and residential computer lab printers is also available from the residence halls and wireless network
E MAIL SUNY Oswego address are provided to all students Address format: Required to use many of the technology services on campus The most common means by which faculty and staff communicate with students Forwarding service is available to students already using a different account
