Protector and guide in life The Good shephe rd John 10:11-18

In the presence of the self- centered religious leaders of his day, Jesus declares, “I am the good shepherd.” He contrasts himself from them by referring to them as “hired hands.”

Indeed, they were concerned only for their own safety and satisfaction. Jesus is the opposite because he owns and loves his sheep.

JESUS, the sacrificial shepherd (vv )

Jesus protects his sheep. Jesus protects his sheep. 1.Jesus, the sacrificial shepherd (vv ). Unlike the hired hand, the Shepherd never abandons his sheep. Unlike the hired hand, the Shepherd never abandons his sheep.
