Awareness of order of time - Past, Present and Future Week 7 IT 21
Awareness of order of time Past, Present and Future This teacher led activity aims to stimulate the children into discussing the order of events in respect of time: past, present and future. The teacher needs to explain that English changes the verb for the times. The picture for the present is already in place. The child’s task is to find what must be past and what must be future in relation to that picture. The next two slides are the children’s ‘base boards’ and contain the ‘present’ picture of the eight scenarios. The third slide (Slide 5) contains the ‘past’ and ‘future’ pictures. All these need to be printed and distributed to the children before you start, together with scissors and glue. After the first slide of each scenario is shown, the children put their pictures in order and discuss why one was chosen for the past and the other for the future. Sometimes the pictures allow for more than one interpretation so the children do need to explain their choice and discuss. Week 7 IT 21
