When and where did Pythagoras live Pythagoras lived Between B.C. He lived in Samose an island in the Aegean sea. Pythagoras traveled to Egypt as a young boy.

Interesting facts about Pythagoras Pythagoras payed a young boy to let him teach him. The Pythagorean brotherhood could not reveal the teachings or secrets of their school.

Important discoveries in math Pythagoras was generally credited with the discovery of the Pythagorean theorem, which is used to find the length of one side of a right triangle. Pythagoras considered numbers to be the guiding principles of the philosophical system.

End of his life Pythagoras died in a fire started by an angry mob.Many others were killed also.
