CS Scan report at Nagoya

Film samples August run Rock muon events Comic ray events October run Rock muon events 1 event (1 Brick) Cosmic ray (4 min.) 3 Bricks Brick ID # # # k

Prediction in film coordinate (August Rock Muons) event# CSD id X(cm) Y(cm) aX(rad) aY(rad) from edge mm * * * * Scanning Area is about 5 cm x 5 cm. 8 tried and 4 found. Mark (*) is labeled for found event.

Found event parameters (August Rock Muon events) event# CSD id X(cm) Y(cm) aX(rad) aY(rad) * * * * Found – prediction (pre correction -1.55cm,-0.55cm) event# CSD id dX(cm) dY(cm) daX(rad) daY(rad) * * * *

Predicted position for August Rock muon in film coordinate Cross is prediction Box is found

CSD Area acceptance = 12.45*9.98 / (12.80*10.51) = %

Scanning area efficiency Scanning Area efficiency SA Total D=0mm 100% 92.4% =1mm 96.4% 89.1% =2mm 92.9% 85.8% =3mm 89.5% 82.6% =4mm 86.1% 79.5% =5mm 82.8% 76.4% =7mm 76.3% 70.5% D(mm)

Prediction in film coordinate (August Cosmic ray events) event# CSD id X(cm) Y(cm) aX(rad) aY(rad) from edge * mm mm * mm * mm mm Scanning Area is about 6 x 6 cm2 Tolerance of micro tracks angle – base angle set to 70 mrad. Allowance of two plate base tracks displacement <50 um. Requesting base angle difference in two plate <0.02. Requesting TT angular matching < 50 mrad in each projection. Selected tracks for manual scanning is 22, 44, 1, 22, 18 for each event. 5 tried and 3 found. Mark (*) is labeled for found event.

Found event parameters (August comic ray events) event# CSD id X(cm) Y(cm) aX(rad) aY(rad) * * * Found – prediction (pre correction -1.55cm,-0.55cm) event# CSD id dX(cm) dY(cm) daX(rad) daY(rad) * * * Residuals is similar to Rock Muon events.

Predicted position for August cosmic ray events in film coordinate Cross is prediction Box is found

Rock Muon October Run event# Brick id# X(cm) Y(cm) Z (cm) aX(rad) aY(rad) (2.049,8.541 )  Film coordinate Scanning Area is 5.05cm x 4.48cm Requesting angular cut to TT 50mrad, 50mrad  1 candidate send to manuacl check and it was confirmed as real. event# Brick id# X(cm) Y(cm) aX(rad) aY(rad) dX(cm) dY(cm) daX(rad) daY(rad) residual  ( ) ( ) So the accuracy looks similar with August run result.

Summary on CS August run Rock muon events 4 found /8 tried Comic ray events 3 found/5 tried For Rock muon events : one not so edge part and 3 events Edge part (< 3mm) should be found For Cosmic ray events : remaining 2 events is center of film And try to enlarge angular tolerance to be Base Track Since angle is larger as 0.4 or 0.5 So shrinkage factor collection is important. October run Rock muon events 1 event (1 Brick) :: FOUND ! CS  Brick is not yet done, but soon.. Cosmic ray (4 min.) 3 Bricks Will be reported in CS  Brick 8 cm X 7 cm scanning about 40 tracks found k
