Narrating Your Powerpoint Presentation This presentation will show you how to easily add narration to your powerpoint presentation.

Connecting the Microphone Plug the USB connector from the microphone into the USB jack located on the face of the lectern. (See the illustration to the right.)

Starting PowerPoint and Opening Record Narration Dialog Start PowerPoint and open your presentation. In the “Slide Show” menu in PowerPoint, click “Record Narration …”. A dialog box appears showing the amount of free disk space and the number of minutes you can record.

Beginning Recording When you are ready to begin recording, click “OK” in the “Record Narration” box. Advance through the slide show (using a mouse click or right arrow key), speaking into your microphone as you go. You should pause speaking for one second before changing slides to prevent the narration from being cut off.

Finishing Recording When you reach the last screen of your presentation, press the esc key. You will be prompted to save the timings along with the narration, click Save. A sound icon will appear in the lower-right corner of each slide that has narration.

Save Your Presentation Save your PowerPoint file with the normal “File” menu “Save” option
