The Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund (TQEF) demonstrates a commitment to the enhancement, embedding and dissemination of good practice in C&IT to support learning and teaching as part of HEFCE funding. At Loughborough a number of web based and computer based learning resources have been developed by Eng TLSC: - Tutorial Record System (TRS) - Peer ASsessment System (PASS) - Lab Assistant - Business Maths Foundations Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund (TQEF)

Peer ASsessment System (PASS) An efficient web-based resource for collecting peer group marks and processing the data. Quick and easy for the lecturer to set up assessment criteria and allocate students to groups. Students confidentially login via LEARN and allocate marks to members of their peer group. Marks are automatically processed and put into an online report for the lecturer to access.

Preparation Contact Eng TLSC with module code to set up new module PASS form You can then log in to PASS: Main menu options

Setting Up the PASS Form Input project details, such as: A chosen name for your form Dates you wish the form is to be available to students Specific criteria students can contribute to the team effort Assign student groups A student can only be assigned to one team per PASS form Notify students that the form is ready!

Reviewing the Results Access and review peer assessed marks, by accessing either (or both): Processed data An on-line report of automatically peer group marks Raw data A summary of each individual students data

Tutorial Record System (TRS) An invaluable on-line method of recording and monitoring progress of students. Provides a mechanism to demonstrate good practice in pastoral care monitoring for External Subject Review (ESR). Straightforward to input student progress. ‘Review’ and ‘Search’ options to analyse information.
