Hydrodynamic Design Myring Hull Contour Design [H1] –3 compartments: Nosecone Mid-section Tailpiece Major developments since previous year. –Smaller more hydrodynamically efficient and machinable design. Diameter is 25% narrower Length is 33% shorter –Antennae added for improved communication. –Hull designed to withstand more pressure Rated to 20 meter depths. –Increased speed goal Speed goal increased from 3 to 5 knots Myring Hull Contour [H1] RAV Design

Control Surface Design Control Surface configuration changed due to addition of active buoyancy system –2 vertical and 2 horizontal stabilators Control Surfaces for Trimming –Dive Planes size determined by Force difference between CB & CG –Rudder size determined by force from CG displacement from centerline Low Speed Dynamic Seals –Spring Loaded Rotary Shaft Seals 4 Individual Servo’s –Possibility for future roll control RAV Tail Piece & Control Surfaces
