I am a generally cheerful person. My students last year thought it was funny that I would take their tuna nets with a smile.
I went to college at Binghamton University in New York. I graduated in 2001 with a Batchelor’s Degree where I majored in English. I earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching in 2003.
I bought a new car in January. It is a Sebring convertible. I love to drive around town with the top down.
This summer, I went to visit my parents and Lady in New York. We went on vacation in the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania. My mom is a computer programmer and my dad is retired.
I am so excited about this school year. There is so much going on. It is the first year the IB Council will be in full force.
I believe in having fun. Some things that I think are fun include: reading, watching movies, going to parties, and traveling to new places.
I enjoy gardening. I grow flowers and herbs at my house. I have a vegetable garden at my fiance’s house in Richlands. This year we are going to have a winter garden too!
I have wavy- curly hair and I really enjoy trying new hairstyles. Especially when it looks great- which is not always the case.
I started the IB Council last year. It is a group of student leaders who want to promote school spirit, Community Service, and the IB Programme.
Jimmy is my brother. He is a computer programmer and lives in Cary, NC. He has two dogs named Tux and Jitterbug.
My sister Kathy teaches 2 nd grade at Richlands Elementary School. She lives with me and used to be a cheerleader and a gymnast.
Lady was my dog who loves to wear clothes. She lives with my parents in New York. I miss her, but I know she has a better life there.
Mr. Tucker is my fiance. We got engaged this summer. He teaches U.S. History at Jacksonville High School.
I grew up in East Northport, New York. I moved to North Carolina in 2003.
I visited Portland, Oregon this summer. It was interesting and very different from the east coast.
I went to Poland in 2001 and then again last summer in My parents were both born in Poland and I am first generation American. I still have relatives there.
I would love to be a queen one day!
I worked as a waitress at Ruby Tuesday for several years. Waitressing is one of the most difficult jobs I’ve had.
I love to play Scrabble and I usually win! I am also very good at solving puzzles.
My favorite restaurant in Jacksonville is the Thai House on Western Blvd. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is charming.
An important lesson I have learned from my family is how to be understanding of people’s differences.
Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays because I love chocolate. Also, pink and red are my favorite colors.
If I could have three wishes they would be: 1. Health & Happiness for me and my family 2. Love my job and do it well 3. Never have to worry about $

Zoolander is a terrific movie. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are hysterical! I am a huge fan of the Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can’t Read Good.
