The Problem as Defined by the Partners Ithaca Farmers Market did not meet the needs of low income consumers in rural areas of the county for access to fresh locally grown produce.
Common/Complementary Goals Improve dietary quality by improving access to (increasing consumption of) vegetables and fruits Increase rates of FMNP coupon redemption by residents in rural areas Increase farm income by adding sales outlets

Assess progress towards goals: Year 2 & 3 New goals –Provide opportunities for youth to learn about local food system, try new vegetables and fruits, increase work force preparation skills, work with the public –Enhance the culture of rural communities with a weekly intergenerational gathering at the farmers’ market
