Unit 1 The Friendship Page Theme: Friendship. Topics: –Reading One: an extract from a website. _Reading Two: friendship quotes.

I. Approaching the Topic How do you usually communicate with your friends and family? How often do you use the Internet?

2. Preparing to Read What are the most popular uses of the Internet in KSA? What do you think are the most popular uses of the Internet in the U.S.?

3. Reading One The Friendship Page Is Three Years Old What do you think the passage will be about? Did Bronwyn start The Friendship Page to make new friends? Do social service organizations help her?

4. Reading Two Friendship Quotes Do you know of any quotes (the exact words of a famous person) related to friendship? Which quotes go against the ideas expressed in Reading One?

5. Reviewing Language Nouns: Ns describe – a person: woman, student, Hanouf… – something: car, chair…. –a place: school, university –Idea: happiness, sadness, idea, suggestion…
