2 June 6, 2011MOM Report Recent Happenings  Substation work completed – all circuits ON  Decay Solenoid cooldown started on Friday, June 3  Detectors:  TOF0, TOF2, and KL installation done  TOF1 reinstallation next week – Maurizio and Co.  CKOV work & reinstallation starts ~June 17  EMR & group arrive June 13  New Rack installation complete – see Henry’s slides  Water rerouting in Hall – John Govans  Beam test scheduled for June 13 – 16:30 – 24:00 ***  EMR data-taking in JULY User Run – Beam starts June 27  10 May – 9 June 2011: ISIS run  10 June – 12 June 2011: machine physics – pushed back to June 13/14  13 June – 26 June 2011: shutdown – starts now June 15  27 June – 3 July, 4 July: run up, machine physics, and permits  5 July – 4 August 2011: ISIS run  5 August – 7 August 2011: machine physics  8 August – 4 September 2011: shutdown? (subject to change)

3 June 6, 2011MOM Report Power Outage in MICE Hall - Finished  POWER ON:  Status: DAQ machines ON PPS rack OFF Target rack ON DS rack ON Magnet rack ON Network switches ON RAID machines ON ONREC01 & 02 ON OPIPC1, 2 & 3 ON MICESTORE ON  Rack Room recovered power – testing remains to be done  Power outage issue: Need to know (without doubt) where on distribution board each rack is powered  Solution: RACK Power sources will be labeled by Daresbury electrical group  POWER ON:  MICE Control Room remains powered  ON In Hall:  Neutron Monitor – back to normal power  DS Vacuum pump in DSA – still on extension cord  SY527 HV crate – needs to be returned to normal power  Some Online Computers remain ON for use by group – everything that was on wall power now back to normal  IOCPC1 ON  ONREC02 ON  ECSERV2 ON  IOCPC2 ON  ECSERV ON  CAGATEWAY ON

4 June 6, 2011MOM Report Substation in Hall Complete  Power out as of Friday May 13  Finished on schedule – Friday May 27  A few circuits not finished/turned on by Tuesday when power-up started

5 June 6, 2011MOM Report Hall  Hall supervision under Andy Nichols & Vishal Francis  Andy and Vishal are now sending MOM weekly worksheets  Water is now re-established  Weekly work list to be posted on wall of MLCR  Need better communication regarding DL work & contractor work  Magnets to be tested after restoration of Hall water  Need document to describe water flow management & control  PPS will be tested before EMR Run  Last hardware needs installation before this can happen  New hard hats & hi-vis vests have been brought down to the Hall  Are having MICE design painted on them to prevent walk-about

6 June 6, 2011MOM Report Other  MOM Handover  Victoria takes over tomorrow – June 7  Machine Physics Schedule Mtg with ISIS tomorrow morning – 10am  EPICs control of Diffuser first pass working  MICE server failure of hard disk today – micewww  All access to redmine, config DB, Coverity & testing of code now down  Software Group work majorly handicapped now  Fortunately, micestore had been restored from power outage and a backup exists (still verifying this)  Antony is working to recover
