Presentation transcript:

ProbabilityProbability Probability is how likely it may be for an event to occur.

Terms: More likely: an event will probably happen. Equally likely: two events that have the same chance of occurring. Less Likely: an event that probably will not happen Impossible: Event that cannot happen Certain: an event will definitely happen.

Term: More likely: an event will probably happen. Example-You’ll pick out a tootsie roll.

Term Equally Likely: Two events that have the same chance at occurring. Example: You will pick out dots and tarts.

Term: Less likely: An event that probably will not happen Example: You pick out a lollipop.

Term: Impossible: Event that cannot happen Example: You’ll pick out a Milkyway.

Term: Certain: an event will definitely happen. Example: You’ll pick out a tootsie roll, dots, tarts, snack bar or lollipop.

Terms: More likely: an event will probably happen. Equally likely: two events that have the same chance of occurring. Less Likely: an event that probably will not happen Impossible: Event that cannot happen Certain: an event will definitely happen.

WORD WALL More likely: probably, possible, expected, Equally likely: same chance, both happen, Less Likely: probably not, Impossible: cannot, won’t happen, Certain: definitely, will happen,

Closure: More likelyA. definitely, will happen Equally likely: Less Likely: B. cannot, won’t happen, C. probably not, Impossible: Certain: D. same chance, both happen, E. probably, possible, expected,
