The American Dream The American Dream is the hope that in the United States of America, anyone can become rich or famous if they work hard and try their very best. Many migrants, people who come to America from other countries, come to America because they hope for a better life. America is attractive to migrants, because often there is more freedom to become rich or famous than the country that they leave. With American Dream is also meant to live free and equal with all other people in the USA.

The Great Depression The Great Depression was the great economic crisis that is said to have been started because of the U.S. stock-market crash in The prices on the Wall Street stock market fell a lot from October 24 to October 29, Many people lost their jobs. By 1932, 25– 30% of people lost their jobs. They became homeless and poor. This ended the wealth of the Roaring Twenties. Many people think that the Great Depression started on Black Tuesday, but Black Tuesday was just an underlying problem that would help cause the Depression.
