France is a Mess!!  France was involved in the American Revolution from  Government was unwieldy.  Weather was a big problem especially in 1788.

King Louis XVI  He agrees to recall the Estates General  Spring of 1789 there was the Cahiers de Doleances.  May 5, 1789 The Estates meet in Versailles.  From May 5-June 17, 1789: The Third Estate boycotts the Estates General

The Revolution of 1789  The Bastille is stormed on July 14,  “Freeing the Enslaved”
